Understanding risks

It is important that you make sure you are investing time in understanding potential risks, time constraints, costs and resource restrictions.

This can be done through tools such as:

  • Risk Analysis Tools
  • Risk/Probability Chart
  • ORAPAPA tool
  • Impact Analysis Tolls
  • Futures Wheel
  • Force Field Analysis
  • Cost/Benefit Analysis
  • Pro’s/Cons

Once your risks have been determined and you have considered all the internal and external influences that could affect you, it is time to make a plan.

Reflection

In your plan you need to consider the following questions:

What needs to be done?

Who needs to be involved?

When does it need to be done by?

How will you achieve it?

How will you monitor?

Time Management?

Who needs to be engaged?
