Coaching is about choice

Once you know what you want, you can choose whether you act upon it or do nothing. Choice is the key. Choose to do nothing. Choose to change. Choose transformation. You choose. 

Keep a journal

Write down your experiences.  Remember to be honest about your feelings and thoughts. Self-coaching really is self-evaluation and reflection that can help you improve your self-awareness. 

Set realistic objectives

Use the TEGROW model to establish what you truly want to accomplish or change. 

Self-assess yourself, get clear on what you want and how you are going to achieve it. 

Start taking action

Once you know your objectives, you can utilise the questions provided in the previous lesson to really help you get started and think about what you are going to do about your goals. 

Stay motivated

Choose a path towards your goal that feels right and motivating. Be aware of what may block you from being successful and how you can overcome it.  

be accountable

Share your goals and action plan with a person who can support you and ask them to hold you accountable. In the absence of such person, you must hold yourself accountable.
