Try to avoid having negative thoughts, it will ultimately hold you back from achieving your goals and direct you away from your main vision for your future. 

Don’t be too disheartened by failure or setbacks, you should work on being more resilient. You need to keep getting back up as failure is inevitable. 

Don’t focus too much on others success. Everyone achieves things at different rates and for different reasons. You are also your own person and therefore cannot fairly compare yourself.  

Focusing on only the big goals means you won’t have the positive feelings of success as often. Make sure you set yourself smaller goals.  

Don’t let laziness or disappointment reign supreme. Stay persistent in working towards your goals. It is easy to procrastinate or avoid something because it makes us feel uncomfortable but the skills you will develop by pushing through it what matters most. 

Try and focus yourself on what does and does not matter. This will make you more focused on achieving your goals than getting caught up on the smaller and more negative emotions that might come with something you cannot change or resolve. 

Continuously challenge yourself to do something new so you can continue to gain more experience and put yourself in new situations so you can grow and develop.  

Taking a break to reflect on where you are now and where you want to be can sometimes be a blessing in disguise. It lets you consider if you are heading in the right direction and if your goals are still relevant because naturally over time goals with change and adapt.
