The value-driven leader

LeaderX is a value-driven leader who understands what motivates them and what gives them value. This means they lead from a centred, grounded place. They set boundaries, honouring their internal ethics and morality. As a result, they lead with integrity and authenticity and this creates safety and trust for others. This is why they create followership, rather than leading through fear.

Reflection

Your behaviours are a representation of your values. It’s how you show up for your followers. It’s what they see you do. It’s what they hear you say and how you say it. Think of yourself when you feel at your best, in flow and leading with purpose.

Ask yourself:

How do I show up?

Who am I at my best?

Why do people choose to follow my lead?

In reverse you could ask, who am I when I am not my best self?

All of the questions asked in this chapter are mining for information about your values. In the next lesson you will deep dive into your values finder exercises.
