Reflecting on Tuckman’s model


Now you have worked through each of the stages, you should now be able to understand which stage your team is in. Use the questions below to reflect on where your team is currently and how you can move to the next stage.

Forming Reflection Questions

What is my teams’ purpose? 
In what ways can I start to form trust?
What can I do to help new team members feel grounded?
Have I established clear expectations?


Storming Reflection Questions

What can I do to understand my teams’ strengths and weaknesses?
Am I being a supportive boss?
Are my team feeling confused or frustrated whilst they find their footing?
Are we moving towards achieving the team goals?


Norming Reflection Questions

Does everyone know what they are doing?
Do we meet often enough to discuss our vision and goals?
What is the current decision-making process? 
Have the team handled conflict appropriately? 
Are the team feeling comfortable in solving problems without my need for input 


Performing Reflection Questions

Are my team exceeding expectations?
What changes can be made within the team to improve?
What else could the team be doing?
Is there anything I can do to help my team further?
